〜自然界からのインスピレーションを受け、創り出される二人の作品
風と岩のイメージを追求した今回の展覧会では、静と動・漂う静寂を感じてください〜
里博文は、自身が考案した油性顔料の転写法を石に応用しています
クリスティーンは、紙に墨を注ぎ、そこに線画を加えています
今回使用した、紙／墨／筆は奈良産です

Christine Flint Sato: 墨表現作家 英国人 奈良在住
故・川邊精華師に書を学ぶ(毎日書道会)
中国の芸術家 李庚(Li Geng)師に中国水墨画を学ぶ
日本・英国で個展、グループ展を開き、墨ワークショップを開催
制作の傍ら、墨芸術を研究し記事を書く

法学部卒業後、心理学、カウンセリングを学ぶ
米国アリゾナ大学芸術学修士
専攻分野・デジタルとアナログ写真の融合
現職・大阪芸術大学 通信教育部 写真学科
「wind and rocks」
Photographer,Hiro Sato and sumi ink painter,Christine Flint Sato find inspiration for their art in the natural world.
In this exhibition ,images of wind and rocks and pieces incorporating actual stones express feelings of movement and flow,stability and stillness in their artwork.
Hiro is showing prints on stones in which he uses a technique he invented using oil pigmentgum arabic transfer.
Christine combines pouring sumi onto the paper with detailed line work.
For this exhibition the sumi,paper and brushes she uses are all from Nara.
The artists will be at the gallery on the weekends May 15th,16th,and also May 22nd,23rd.
Christine Flint Sato is a British sumi ink painter based in Nara.
She studied calligraphy under Seika Kawabe(Mainichi Calligraphy Organisation)for many years and ink painting under Chinese ink painter Li Geng.
She exhibits regularly in Japan and the UK where she also runs sumi workshops.
In addition to her studioart,she researches and writes about the sumi arts.
Photographer Hiro Sato was born in Amami Oshima and is now living in Nara.
After graduating in law,he studied psychology and counselling.
He gained an MFA from University of Arizona,USA ,and is currently associate professer in the Photography Department of the Distance Learning Division at Osaka Art University.
His area of specialization is the combination of analogue and digital photographic techniques.
